An elegant cocktail reception and commemorative book launch will be held to honor the State of Qatar, its pioneers, and its Norvegian and Qatari partners, in recognition of their remarkable contributions to shared success.

At the heart of this celebration lies Beyond Fifty Years of Diplomatic and Economic Relations between Qatar and Norway, a tribute to the enduring partnership built on collaboration, progress, and mutual respect.

December 2026 will hold special significance, as it will symbolically mark the beginning of Qatar’s commemorative year 1971–2026, celebrating over five decades of national development, strategic alliances, and diplomatic achievements.

The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Norway has emphasized that this event will showcase the country’s outstanding progress and milestones, realized under the wise and forward-looking leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

1. Printed business cards: The Qatar Embassy will distribute printed business cards featuring a QR code to all participants at the National Day cocktail. Scanning the QR code will provide automatic access to the digital version of the dedicated website and the publication.

2. A MOBILE DIGITAL PLAYER

Users will have the ability to watch the video, read the book, and/or download all content. They will find extensive information and contacts in Qatar, including details about embassy services, bilateral companies, Chambers of Commerce, and more.

For local decision-makers, visiting dignitaries, and businessmen traveling to Qatar for forums, exhibitions, or other events, as well as Qatari dignitaries traveling abroad, a USB/OTV stick serves as the ideal tool to promote the publication and website. It also facilitates connections with local organizations and services in Qatar.

The USB/OTV stick is compatible with both computers and mobile phones (Android and iPhone). It contains a wealth of data and can be connected to any mobile or computer device for locating, writing, chatting, and various other functions.

3. NFC TECHNOLOGY

The publication will be shared by the Qatar Embassy, government offices, leading Qatari firms, and Norwegians and Qatari sponsors and advertisers with their visitors through an NFC business card and NFC static base. The NFC link will automatically provide access to the video, the publication’s website, and/or the Embassy’s website. Additionally, the embassy and other Qatari organizations will facilitate access to the publication via an NFC base available to visitors.

4. PUBLICATION HARD COPIES

The Embassy of the State of Qatar to Norway will send multiple copies in English langage, to key business leaders and government authorities, and also offer the publication to its guests at the National Day cocktail.

In addition, the publication in Arabic and English will be available for Qatari guests present but also shared in Qatar for promotion to both countries. The Embassy of Norway for Qatar will obtain copies for its own distribution.
